This type of massage involves the application of firm pressure and slow, deliberate strokes to target deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is particularly effective for individuals recovering from intense physical activity or suffering from muscle stiffness, strain, or injury.

In a Deep Tissue or Sports Massage, the therapist uses their fingers, thumbs, and elbows to work into the muscles, breaking up adhesions (muscle knots) and improving circulation to promote healing.
